Last week’s Annual Company Law Conference organised jointly by the Department of Commercial Law at the University of Malta and the Malta Law Academy proved another great success. It was attended by over 150 participants and bookings were halted days before the event.
The conference was organised and chaired by Dr David Fabri and opened with a welcome address by Dr George Hyzler, outgoing President of the Chamber of Advocates followed by the new Chief Justice Dr Joseph Azzopardi who delivered the opening address. Other speakers included Prof Andrew Muscat, Judge Dr Joseph Zammit McKeon, Dr Manfred Galdes, Christopher Buttigieg and Dr Reuben Balzan, who all spoke on different topics from different perspectives. Very positive reactions have been received from the attendees and one now looks forward to the next annual conference in 2019.
