The Chamber of Advocates hosted an event organised by aditus foundation and co-funded by the European Union.
Interesting discussions took place during this workshop which provided training to lawyers defending journalists and media organisations, NGOs and activists, who become victims of Strategic Law Suits Against Public Participation (SLAPPs)
Dr Michael Zammit Maempel carried out the local training component, whilst Prof Justin Borg-Barthet and Dr Erin Ferguson expanded on the European perspective. A panel discussion shared their knowledge on the emerging legislation and trends for defending against strategic litigation against public participation.
