Il-Kamra tal-Avukati tfakkar lill-membri tagħha li d-direttiva maħruġa ghadha fis-seħħ. Għaldaqstant, l-Avukati huma mitluba jastjenu milli jagħtu servizzi legali relatati ġewwa l-Qrati skond id-direttiva, nhar it-Tnejn, 22 ta’ Ġunju 2026. Il-membri ghandhom jiffurmaw lill-klijenti taghhom li huma ghandhom jattendu ghas-seduti u li ghandhom jiffurmaw lil gudikatura illi l-avukat taghhom qieghed isegwi d-Direttiva tal-Kamra u li ghalhekk mhuwiex se jattendi. The Chamber of Advocates has become aware of facts regarding surveillance, monitoring, interception and recordings of privileged conversations between advocates and clients at the Corradino Correctional Facility and has taken the steps outlined in the attached Judicial Protest filed on 15 June 2026.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The Chamber of Advocates announces that its forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Thursday, 11th June 2026. Further information relating to the AGM will be announced at a later date. PLACING OF MOTIONS ON AGENDA Pursuant to the Statute, members have a time period of 12 days from today, Tuesday, 12th May 2026 to notify the Secretary General of any motions which they wish to move at the meeting. Ten or more members may give written notice of an appropriate motion to be moved at the AGM. A statement of up to 1000 words explaining the motion may accompany such motion. PRELIMINARY NOTICE OF CHAMBER OF ADVOCATES ELECTIONS 2026

Preliminary notice is hereby given, in accordance with article 45 of the Statute, that elections of members of the Chamber will be taking place on Thursday, 25th June 2026, which will fall vacant on the expiry of the terms of office of the current Chamber members at the Annual General Meeting to be held on the Thursday, 11th June 2026. The ten (10) vacancies arise due to the end of term as per article 72 of the Statute.  The roles to be occupied are: President Vice President Secretary General Financial Officer NOMINATIONS Nominations are invited to be submitted from active and fully paid-up members of the Chamber of Advocates.
